Throughout the coastal towns of Tofino and Ucluelet and around the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, the Pacific Rim Whale Festival an all-out celebration of life on the coast!

It's about grey whales and marine life education, inspirational talks and interpretive walks, children's fun for the small and culinary events for the tall, First Nations cultural workshops and more - come and experience a coastal tradition!

Monday, March 18th

Cedar Weaving with Rose Wilson:  Learn traditional cedar weaving.  2-3:30pm Tofino Community Hall, Tofino Admission: $15.00

First Nations Whaling/Marine Connections:  4-5pm 106 - 368 Main Street, Tofino

Tuesday, March 19th

B-Bop Fitness & Wild Pacific Trail Walk:  Hike the Wild Pacific Trail with Oyster Jim Martin!  8:15AM UCC Parking Lot, 500 Matterson Dr, Ucluelet.

Marine Whiz Bang Science Show:  With science educator Glenn Kachmar.  UCC Parking Lot, 500 Matterson Dr, Ucluelet.

Sweet Indulgence:  Indulge in dozens of sweet treats from local restaurants, cafe's and bakers!   6-9 pm Ucluelet Community Centre, Ucluelet Admission: $10.00.

Wednesday, March 20th

What's Black and White and Swims All Over?  Learn about Killer Whales with Leah Thorpe of the Cetus Research & Conservation Society.  11:00 am - 12:00 pm Kwisitis Visitors Centre, Pacific Rim National Park Reserve.

Marine Debris Impacts and Issues - Sea Change Panel:  6-9:30pm Darwin’s Café - Tofino Botanical Gardens, Tofino.

Thursday, March 21st

Jamie's Whaling Station Presents: Kid's Day Ucluelet:  An all-out afternoon of fun, art, science, and music from The Kerplunks. 12:30 - 4pm, Ucluelet Community Centre, Ucluelet

11th Annual Barnacle Blues with JOHN MANN & Viper Central:  Join this fund-raising evening of blues with amazing prizes to win!  7:00 pm Black Rock Oceanfront Resort, Ucluelet.  Call for tickets.

Friday, March 22nd

Whaling - An Ancient Tradition in Barkley Sound.  A presentation about the Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations whaling traditions in Barkley Sound.  3-4pm  Kwisitis Visitors Centre, Pacific Rim National Park Reserve

ELECTRIC GUMBOOT BASH:  Dance the night away (in your gumboots) to a huge line up of DJ's and spinners.  9:00 pm Harbour Lounge @ Marina West Motel, Tofino Admission: $25.00.  Plus 19 event.

Saturday, March 23rd

Annual Rubber Fish Race and Hatchery Tour.  Help support your local hatchery at this fun rubber fish race at Thornton Creek Hatchery!  2:00 pm Thornton Creek Hatchery, Port Albion.

An Evening of Song, Conversation & Visuals Highlighting the Grey Whale with Juno Award Winning, Ian Tamblyn.  8:00 Black Rock Oceanfront Resort, Ucluelet.  Tickets $20 at the door.

Sunday, March 25th

Tug - O - Whale  11:00 am - 12:00 pm Mackenzie Beach, Tofino

Pacific Rim Festivities - First Nations Salmon BBQ & Performances!  Performances by local dancers, complimented by a delicious Salmon BBQ.
